Benefits Enrollment Center

The Benefits Enrollment Center (BEC) helps eligible low-income seniors, adults, and individuals with disabilities find and enroll in benefit programs that can help you towards affording necessities like prescriptions, insurance, and housing costs.

Our SNAP Outreach Coordinator helps seniors navigate the application process for the following benefits programs:

  • SNAP Assistance
  • Medicare Part D Extra Help (or Low-Income Subsidy, LIS)
  • Medicare Savings Program
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program
  • Free Cell Phone
  • Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

If you live in Alabama or Mississippi and need to apply for food stamps – now called the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) – we can help. We’ll walk you through the application process, and help you determine if you meet the income guidelines for food assistance benefits.
