Food Drives are important to keeping our shelves stocked with nutritious food for the children, seniors, veterans, and families we serve. Every donation makes a difference—no matter the size! We can provide the bins, and you provide the manpower!
Fund Drives, or Virtual Food Drives, are especially helpful because a $1 donation provides 4 meals. When you hold a Virtual Food Drive, your dollar is stretched further. We can purchase food at a much lower cost than at a grocery store, and we will be able to purchase exactly what we are in need of.
When you make a donation directly to the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama or through your workplace giving program, many employers will donate the same amount. Some companies may match a retiree’s donation too!
Your company may also match the hours you volunteer at the Community Food Bank with a financial grant!
Matching gift programs help us raise funds that allow us to provide more meals in our community to families, seniors, and veterans facing the fears of food insecurity. With the matching gift program, your donation can go even further, providing up to 8 meals with each dollar!

A donation in honor of a person is a perfect way to celebrate someone’s birthday, wedding, anniversary, or in place of holiday gifts. A memorial gift remembers a friend or loved one who has passed on.

Hungry families need food year-round. Join our Meal Makers Club recurring giving program, and help ensure that adults and children in our communities have enough healthy food every month of the year.
A donation of just $10 a month will enable us to provide 40 meals for someone in need.
